A space for keeping family and friends near: pictures, thoughts, archives of some of my written work and a passionate witness to Catholic homeschool family life.
How did you store them? Do you have a cellar. I want a cellar. Wow, I'm impressed that you had one that lasted this long. Have a good day. God bless, Liz
Wow, Ana, acreage life sure suits you and your family more than I ever dreamed!!! You were born for it! :o) Liz p.s. I've asked Frank to plant tons this year. We may have gone a bit overboard potatoes and onions. Oops! Ah well such is life!
Hi-- yep, we have a cellar-- with the original stone walls from the 188os. It is always cool down there--the butternut squash last until about 3 weeks ago-- we had more than 75 of them stored down there. You can use a part of your basement, I am sure! My potatoes last until recently too. We're still enjoying corn, pesto, tomatoes, applesauce, zucchini... these are frozen. I want to plant this summer more of the stuff I will use all year long and save on groceries!
