Number Seven and I use our faithful Cuisenaire rods to introduce her to regrouping and carrying, while Number Six and friends continue to enjoy their weekly History lessons using the workbook I am writing for A Child's History of the World. Six more meetings, and we will finish the book!
Yesterday, we studied Magellan: his route, his ship Victoria, and... his real Portuguese name--Magalhães--which everyone had a hard time saying!
