Sour Cherry Jam
With the help of three beautiful teenage girls, we picked and pitted the sour cherries last night--and this morning I made seven jars of jam! Two gallon containers of cherries to go! Sour Cherry Jam is Husband's favorite!
BEAUTIFUL!!!! Yum. Our strawberries were what we had tons of this year. I made over 30 quarts of jam! Finally I started freezing the strawberries b/c that's too much jam! Do you make pies with these cherries?
Have not made a pie... we all love the jam. We have two cherry trees but one is recovering form a disease from last year. I wish I could get some of your strawberries. Freeze them for smoothies!
Certainly! I use a combination of the recipe in the Sure Jell Box and this website--which I use for all of my jam making! I just love it: http://www.pickyourown.org/cherry_preserves.htm
