Freezing corn

The main activity on Labor Day was answering Number Seven's recurrent "Why do we have to labor on Labor Day" questions. Besides that, one of the things we did was to pick, husk, blench, strip and freeze the corn. Our corn could not have been more beautiful this year! We froze 19 1 qt bags!

In the first picture: while working outside, Number Six found a handsome groom, a bride and... an old priest.

Looks yummy! And of course, the little girls see a bride and groom in everything - even corn ears. (Some things about girls never change.) :-)
Warmly,

Isn't that the truth?
