Wedding Day, 1951

The wedding was a Mass at 8 AM, with a breakfast at my grandma's Helena following the mass. Mom always told us that they wanted a mass with Holy Communion, but the fast for Communion then started at midnight, and Father's low blood pressure--which he has to this day--did not allow for him to wait any longer. This is their best photograph, as they never wanted a grand party, photographers etc.

Isn't it a lovely wedding picture?

These photos are really beautiful. I hope you are doing well enough and that G. is back in town. We hope to see you sooner rather than later.

G. just arrived, and I melted on his shoulders, his hands bearing white roses. We may be at O's for New Year's.
