The students chose a sky landscape back in September and worked on nine mixed media tiles to compose a final study. Some interesting results!

Last morning in Brazil

A picture of my dearest Titia... my aunt who helped Mother raise all of us with her presence, stories, babysiting.... I love sitting next to her when I am in Brazil! In the photo she is reading an excellent article written by my sister Marta, a doctor in History.

A dream Vegetable Garden

The Correas Vegetable Garden is where we shop for healthy vegetables here... a real paradise!

Downtown

Shopping with my sisters Nina and Margot is comic relief... The Brazilian Pizza is always served with Olive Oil on the side and pictured is a personal size of Calabresa and Portuguesa toppings. Yum!

A special invitation

My nephew Daniel sent this... lovely!

Diocesan Ordination

I was priviledged to attend the Diocesan Ordination yesterday of five new priests, all former students of my sister's. The cathedral was packed to the rim, and the love and excitement of the people was something I will never forget. These five new priests had been here at our family home for a formal dinner the night before: the Church is fortunate to have found five dedicated, holy mean embracing the priesthood of Christ. The detail of the program shows the Brazilian saints included in the Litany. It is good to be Home.

Number Two in Barcelona, Spain

She hails from Barcelona where she spent the steep 11 Euro entrance fee to visit the interior of Gaudi's famous Sagrada Familia. She said she does not regret it--she found it, in her words, "an incredible experience". She continues: she wants to "go back in 30 or 40 years when they finish it, because it's going to be truly amazing."

Bye bye Number One

A loving grandson, with newly acquired nursing skills, returns to life in Chicago. Boa Viagem! He has spent and intense week here, following his grandfather everywhere and sleeping beside him. An experience of service and love to be in his memory for life!

The second and third pictures show him with handsome cousin ZeMarcos and wonderful aunt Marta respectively.
