Thankfulness Thursdays

A good exercise for the mind, and oh so timely. I borrowed it from Studeo.

Ten things I am thankful for this week:

1. The Crucifix on the wall on my bedroom, which was the one my parents--who taught me of God and art--had over their bed when I was a child. The first thing I look at, in the penumbra of early morning. It's all there-- my faith and purpose in life.

2. Hope, the essential virtue in the Christian heart—especially after Tuesday's vote.

3. My husband: what would I be without him and our grand adventure of family?

4. My awesome mother-in-law and her new husband. I learn so much from her. One day I hope to be half the mother-in-law and grandmother she is.

5. Friends, new and old.

6. My brother Eduardo in Rio, Brazil. A fantastic musician, a soul of gold. I can’t wait to see him, in less than a month now!

7. Kolbe Academy. They do what they promise: they make a homeschool family’s life easier!

8. From Number One at Notre Dame to Number Two to Seven at home: parenting is certainly rewarding.

9. The visit from Fr. L. and the seminarians from O. L. Guadalupe. Our house is now blessed, and we had a great time with them this past weekend, complete with a bonfire and a walk in the moonlight.

10. The Salsa Soup Recipe my friend Nancy gave me—I am making it tonight!

St Joseph Cathedral, taken by Brian during his recent visit to Sioux Falls.

Great list - I like it. Especially the hope part.
