She emailed today, in my mother tongue. A completely, wonderful new experience for this mother. She has gone shopping, preparing to come back: I had sent an order for meia dúzia--half a dozen--of these: Bonbons Garoto, a Brazilian classic. We'll have her again around our dinner table on Holy Thursday. I am already planning the menu for the Feast of the Institution of the Eucharist! Perfect timing--to feast with the family on Thursday and then rest during the Holy Triduum--to finally be ready for the the celebration of the holiest of all Christian feasts.
