At the Met

The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York is opening a new Roman and Greek Gallery this upcoming week, using a space used for decades as a public cafeteria. Take a look at their website for photos of the gallery's building stages.

This amazing photograph came from their site.

I bumped into this as I searched the web for a final art project for my co-op students to finish the year with a bang... by going back to the standard of beauty in art, found in the Graeco-Roman antiquity.

Using thins link, you can enjoy fifty of the Greek and Roman art collection highlights in detail, such as this beautiful drinking cup!
