Our first carrots ever, and a rare leaf of lettuce

The truth is, the carrots are not very sweet, but do very well in a crockpot recipe. Still, it's exciting to pull them from the ground!


The lettuce leaf was part of lunch the other day-- so the photograph tells the tale of a leaf that may be rare... I put it right beside a "regular" leaf so you can see the difference! Maybe I should contact Extension.
