The dedication of my art students at co-op always makes up a most worthy post!
Using the Christian Heritage Art Program, which I am in the process of reviewing throughout this school year, we studied Pointillism, and looked at the famous Georges Seurat picture.
We then used water soluble markers to create a still life composition with dots, and finally used paintbrushes for a wash effect.

Wonderful work!
Wow.
Funny too because yesterday a bunch of our homeschool group (12 teens and 6 parents) went to the Art Institute of Chicago where Seurat's painting resides. Unfortunately we didn't get to see it in person (a number of exhibits are closed because of construction and we only had three hours so we didn't see everything).
