The Road Home

The Road Home, Chinese.

I have a friend whose husband is anti-Hollywood, not without reason, so she loves my recommendations. I dedicate all of my non-Hollywood posts to Catherine!

This is another G-rated foreign gem! The photography and the pace of this movie will draw you in for a delightful experience--at least that was my case. A truly wonderfully told love story, with depth beyond what meets the eye!

IMDb did not have much information on this title so here is a link to Sony Classics and its official website.

Enjoy!

Well, it is PG-13. Common sense media, linked to Netflix, helps parents know ahead of time the film's contents. http://www.commonsensemedia.org/
"Common Sense Note
Parents need to know that the movie is violent. The fight scenes are beautiful but deadly, with graphic injuries and many deaths. There are sexual references and situations including a scene in a brothel and attempted sexual assault. A strength of the movie is its portrayal of women and of Chinese men and women as strong, brave, and loyal."

Ana, A few days ago on EWTN World Over with Raymond Arroyo, was an interview with a Latino actor (forget his name). He was promoting a movie that he starred in and is promoting called "Bella". Have you heard of it? The website is www.bellathemovie.com . If you haven't seen this actor (oh I remember his first name - Eduardo), his story is fascinating. -
