Tears burst from my eyes last night as Mr. Pepino (pictured here in our living room a year-and-a-half ago holding his last bundle of beauty and joy) told us the reason for their phone call: would we be godparents of their new soon-to-be-born child!Would we! Would we! Few times in life we are allowed to feel as honored as we did last night. I did ask him a few times "are you sure?" He seemed, however, to be quite sure.
I have to say our circle of compadres and comadres is an outstanding circle of good, old friends!
May God bless all good friendship, and grace it with true Fear of the Lord!
