Christmas Novena

Christmas Novena

We have been saying this prayer 15 times a day since November 30th (Feast of St. Andrew) and we'll go through Christmas Day. Number Seven has finally memorized it, and she is very proud to say it once by herself every night. Same cannot be said of Husband, once owner of a great memory. We have come to love the words of this novena prayer.

Hail and blessed be the hour and moment
in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary,
at midnight, in Bethlehem, in piercing cold.
In that hour, vouchsafe, O my God!
to hear my prayer and grant my desires,
through the merits of Our Saviour Jesus Christ,
and of His Blessed Mother.
Amen.
