Doesn't it seem a bit powerless, the sun, in these depths of winter?

Yesterday our short trip to piano lessons provided perhaps the coldest temperature we have ever experienced. The wind chill took every shred of moisture and warmth from the air, and under -30 conditions it was difficult and painful to go from car to door.
