We met in the fireside room--an ample, beautiful room, with sofas, coffee tables, refreshments... and we met live!
As Laura the Crazy Mama and Minnesota Mom report, it was a blast. In a word, it was... new! We blog alone, at home: it was so new and different to have a room full of bloggers... and actually talk about it. We talked about the issue of incoming comments, and things that go through our minds when we prepared a blog post. Some moms came because they either read blogs or plan to have blog someday, and we talked about the differences between blogspot, typepad, wordpress. We talked about vulnerability, insecurities, and the fun of being published. We talked about blog reading and googlereader. We all shared tips, concerns, plans, and things such as how we came up with our blog names.
We were a bunch of opinionated, expressive women (and one dad too), and our opinions and insights differed at times, but we all agreed on one thing: the session, which turned out to be 2 hours long, could have been two hours longer at least!
Yes, Deb, I would do it again!

Whoa, we were there for TWO HOURS? The time just breeeeeezed by. It was so nice to see the ladies all in person. It really was interesting to shed light on the blogging world (from a blogger's perspective) to those who came and didn't have blogs yet. I can't imagine NOT blogging for the rest of my life. It's such a small part of my day but a valuable record of our lives together on this journey!
OH! I forgot to thank you for moderating our gathering. I adore listening to your voice and you moved things along so smoothly. I hope to come again next year.
You are *so* kind. And you'd better be there next year! Hail and all.

I loved meeting you! Count me in next year for another blogger talk. Even though I'm partially invisible!!!
Ooh--Paula--you are so right to never forgive me for thinking you invisible! LOL! I will always laugh at that one! I am *so* adding you to my googlereader!
Now I'm wishing that I HAD attended the bloggers session. At the time I was preoccupied with all of the used books. Hopefully, I make it there next year. --- It was nice seeing you at the conference, Ana.
Dear Ana, the fireside chat was wonderful! Thank you for hosting.
Oh, and I will never forget that animated conversation in the bathroom. :)
Yeah... I thought about that too--a poetic moment, in a conference ladies' room! Fun, sincere, deep, and enjoyable, all at the same time. Do women know how to have fun!
