After visiting with friends in Nebraska, we were hosted by our friends Sean and Eileen in Kansas--in our own old house--and my friend Pattie had stopped earlier to leave a chalk message on the front steps!
Numbers One and Three decided to read aloud the first few scenes of Romeo and Juliet--and we laughed heartily at the sword-fighting with fingers they staged.
Through the rest of Kansas, on a diagonal line, the landscape was composed of a series of these.
