Memorizing poetry

This fall semester finds all our children memorizing poetry for a Friday class and what a joy it is. Our poetry books have been coming down from bookshelves and now are found everywhere in the house!  As I sit here using Husband's laptop, computers being all used by Numbers Three, Four and Five who are need to close academic work for first quarter, I listen to Number Six' delivery of Psalm 23, and Number Five's reading of In the Garret by  Louisa May Alcott (in Little Women).

Number Seven didn't stay behind and found a four verse poem in her reader for her own memorizaton, by Chesterton:
The Christ Child stood at Mary's knee,
his hair was like a crown,
and all the flowers looked up at Him,
and all the stars looked down.

What reader is #7 using?

Brussel Sprouts didn't work out well. Too many bugs, I think. we had a huge plant, but no sprouts. Oh well, maybe next year.

I enjoy your reading about your garden bounty.
