Two creative titles from the new books display at the library:
Maple Syrup Season by Ann Purmell
A very cute book about making maple syrup, with explanatory notes at the end. Cousins, aunts, grandparents, uncles are all together for the syrup making season. The illustrations are wonderfully creative and the words sometimes wrap around or float above the trees... a very nice fall read with some hot cocoa and cold weather outside! Not to mention educational!
Coppernickel: The Invention by Wouter van Reek
This title is a first in the USA of this Dutch young author. A bird who likes to invent, a dog who wants to play outside... and a celebration of simple solutions and pleasures! Enjoy!
