We started at the local John Deere place, and ended our search at the Campbell's Supply in town. This is the Cub Cadet LTX 1050, and it has what we were looking for--horsepower, good turning radius, blade width--plus it was under our budget! I will be outside today, if the teens don't beat me to it. Thank you, Husband!
Garden Update: Yesterday Number Four planted potatoes under the old windmill, Husband planted 2 Pumpkin hills up by the silo, and Number Six helped me plant 2 Cherry tomatoes and 2 Roma tomatoes, plus a row of 16 Nichols' Dusky Eggplant. Nicest of all, I planted a whole tray of violas in front of Our Lady's outdoor statue.

I know we're not supposed to envy others, but I really do envy your riding mower. We now have a yard where a riding mower woulg be rather useless (too small, too many trees, too steep a slope), but for the longest, a riding mower was my favorite way to meditate. No distractions: just the mower and the grass and God.
Enjoy it!
