More on great audio books

We all know the story, have read the books, and have seen multiple versions of R. L. Stevenson's masterwork.... but you have never heard Alfred Molina's narration on audio, you are missing what our family has unanimously named one of the best audio books ever! Superb!

Ana --

I'll have to give the Molina reading a try. Introducing one's children to Treasure Island is one of parenthood's supreme delights.

Incidentally, I love the N.C. Wyeth illustration that graces the cover of this audio book. I've seen the original painting on a number of visits to the Brandywine River Museum, where a friend of mine is a docent. She loves asking visiting school groups how one can tell that it was hot on Treasure Island, hoping that they spot that glistening line on sweat on Jim Hawkins's right arm. One of the little details that define art.
