It was a World Cup roller coaster yesterday, with Brazil scoring first and then going on to lose to Holland 2 to 1.
I am, however, happy and proud of the team, and peaceful with the results. Holland seemed like a freight train rolling over our beautiful game and we still dominated the art of the game. I thank all of the Brazilian players and I know they will be received with love as they arrive home.
So the picture shows a Brazilian game-day meal at our table, complete with World Cup placemats, fried pastel, white rice, and our newest menu item: sauteed garlic scapes. Yum!
