He will visit the ancient shrine of Santiago de Compostela and bless the church of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. Both our older children have visited the monumental church at separate times, and both were deeply impressed, especially with its interior. It is a church like no other in the world artistically speaking. I have blogged their visits here with pictures. Gaudi, the architect, a deeply religious man and a devout Catholic, was little understood by his contemporaries, and now has a cause for canonization started for him.
