Back from Ethiopia!
Husband arrived today from a grueling field work trip to Ethiopia, the third time he goes with this team as they work on an early warning system for malaria prevention. This was their rainy season as the photos show, they looked for mosquito breeding ground in Abyssinia and saw the Blue Nile Falls.
Nice collage! For clarification: we were looking for breeding areas of Anopheles mosquitos in the Amhara region of Ethiopia. Abysinnia is the old name for Ethiopia. Also, some of the shots in the collage came from the Rift Valley in southern Ethiopia, not the Amhara region. ;)
Lovely pictures. My son is from Ethiopia (Gondar) and I am the co-founder of a non-profit working in the Mount Entoto area of Addis. Your husband is likely familiar with that area. I am also a Catholic homeschooling mama, which is why I follow your blog :)
Click here to be directed to my other blog, where I am publishing, in order, the Braga Family photo albums made by my mother, Lucia Braga. May she rest in God's eternal and blissful peace.
