Happy All Saints feast day!

Unveiling our new paper saints for 2011!
In order, from left to right:
Saint Catherine of Siena, Blessed Sister Dulce, Blessed John Paul II, Saint Martin de Porres and Saint Clothilde.

I also added photos of some individual details. We spent a good part of the afternoon looking for images on the iPad and talking about their lives. Number Seven chose her new dearest saint, Martin de Porres, about whom she read a book last month for Lit class. A humble, loving and hard working young man, it was his love for, and ability to communicate with animals, that won her heart. Number Six made Saints Catherine of Siena and Clothilde--she has studied the historical importance of Saint Clothilde as part of her medieval studies in coop. My Blessed JPII was fun to make, cutting accents for his miter and attempting to duplicate his personal crucifix.

Last but not least, a warm Thank You goes to Jannell who gifted me with Sister Wendy's Saints's book!

Your family made some lovely saints, Ana. Of course the JP II one is so sweet! I like that you all chose saints who aren't well known. God bless.
