She was called "the new Grace Kelly", starred with the most famous male actors including Elvis Presley, and had everything people dream of in this life: beauty, money, success and a promising future. And yet at 23 years old she stumbled upon an Abbey retreat house... and heard God's voice. Smart, educated, witty, her answers are wonderful, as the ones from the fiance she left behind who is also in the interview. A must-see. The kids and I watched this last night, thanks to friend Sarah M. who posted it on Facebook. More than ever, I would like to take the girls for a visit to Regina Laudis...

I visited Regina Laudis about 20 years ago when we lived in CT. Beautiful experience. At that time they had a summer fair/festival at the convent where visitors could talk to some of the working sisters. Daedalus Books has one of their CDs - Women in Chant: The Announcement of Christmas - on sale for a great deal.
