Forty-three degrees

The kittens are enjoying the early, weak sunshine. I wasn't one complaining about the heat during the heat wave. No, no. I was counting my blessings. The only down side was the need for air conditioning in the house.

All of the dry heat brought a late dry summer and... unseasonal cool temperatures. I read references (unsupported scientifically I may add) that the wildlife around here is sporting early antlers points and woolly winter coats and the like. I sure hope this does not mean a short, cold fall. Please, no. (This post dedicated to Number One, who always takes notes on my weather-related posts.)
