...Number Six read about an told the story of the ancient, miraculous image of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Rome. We checked Wikipedia and it is very well re-told there. Truly, the historical and artistic richness of the Church is a wonderful teacher!
We finished core subjects and drove to town for the annual Homeschool Spelling Bee. Number Seven achieved a personal best at the oral bee surviving three rounds, and then getting mixed up with the placement of the x in complexity.
Our reigning spelling queen came home with two First Place ribbons, for the written and oral spelldown both. She will attend the regional Bee on February 2nd. Congratulations, Number Six!
