Maria Auxiliadora

Today the Church celebrates the feast of Mary Help of Christians, or, in Portuguese,  Maria Auxiliadora. My best and wonderful college friend had this beautiful name, and did it with honor. Countless girls in Brazil have this name and every "Dora" and "Dodora" is a nickname for this Marian name---as as many others, as Marian names are the most popular--see here.

Looking for images, I was drawn by this exquisite one and found out it comes from an art school/gallery in Peru.
