Art at home

One of the favorite things the girls and I enjoy together is listening to audio books and working on an art project. (We finished Northanger Abbey and are well into Mansfield Park, as Number Six is preparing to write an essay for a Jane Austen competition). Lately we have been working on these homemade flower cards--using a simple hand made stencil after a drawing of a flower found online. We are using 100% cotton watercolor paper and the cards do turn out beautiful. In this age when cards are not sent very often, it is nice to know we have handsome ones ready, for whenever needed.

Good ones are the best to do, so when one does get sent, means all the more
