A Winter Care Package!

It came unexpectedly, with a lovely hand written card: a box to warm our winter with Polish cookies, and a beautiful Polish pottery platter! And this from our friends and compadres the C. family, who live in NY State, where the winter has also been raging angrily and relentlessly.

The cookies reminded me of a Brazilian treat "Pao-de-Mel" (honey-bread) we find in good bakeries.... I researched it, and indeed it is the same, part of Brazilian cuisine but brought by Polish immigrants!
