Number Seven won the local home-school Geo Bee today! We are very proud of her. Portland, Maine was her winning answer. This was the first annual Brookings Homeschool GeoBee, a National Geographic Society academic contest, and was held at the Brookings Public Library. The event was sponsored by Mantis Digital Arts and students from 4th to 8th grade participated. Josh Bucher, a SDSU graduate student and former South Dakota GeoBee winner from Sioux Falls, was the moderator. He did a great job!
