So we are between two choices. We met with the realtor and had a nice talk, and have lots to think about. One is this 1940 home, centrally located, walking distance to downtown and Husband's office. it need quite a bit of remodeling inside including all new floors, and new bathroom and kitchen. It is well-built and maintained. 9ft ceiling in basement even, two fireplaces. The second choice is to lot a brand new, custom home, in the lot we've looked at earlier in the fall. The amount in the end is equivalent.
In the new construction we'd get our attached garage and a master bedroom in the main floor. In the older home we get the character and proximity to work etc. Both of them offer walking distance playgrounds for future grandchildren.
*sigh*...
Time to start a novena!

Wouldn't give up our attached garage in this frigid region. Main floor bedroom is important.
Enjoy your blog, Ana.
