So, in the beautiful March for Life image, Number Five is wearing "the scarf"... specially commissioned by her as her big Christmas present. We chose the yarn together (chunky for Needle # 17) and the yarn alone was almost $50. I made it using what we call in Brazil "Ponto Arroz", or "rice stitch" in English, which is a simple knit, perl, knit, perl etc pattern, alternating at each row. The scarf is super wide and incredibly long as requested, and it kept her warm during the March, and promises to keep her warm in the subzero temperatures campus. Truly. It's like a huge warm blanket! I took pictures before she left.
