I brought this from Brazil and presented it yesterday to the family. In the region I visited in Brazil this recent trip, the state of Minas Gerais, they still hold the "Festivals of the Divino" dating back to 14th century Portugal. The "Divino" refers to the Divine Spirit, or Holy Spirit, the third person of the Blessed Trinity. These artisan-made "Divinos" are found everywhere, be it on the walls of homes and stores, be it on the booths at the popular markets, and it took me a while to decide on the right one for our house!
