Snapshots from early spring in the backyard

We are betting against time... hoping this rainy week will bring warmth and sun until we out of the danger of frost. I went ahead and planted the herbs and some tomatoes and eggplant and zucchini, they were ready to go!



Can't get enough of the weeds... before we mowed I picked another bouquet!





Our dear Cirrus had two kittens!





The Raspberry--a gift from Mary and John Ruane we planted last fall--took!




And the squirrel proof baffle works! I have never seen so many birds so close as it is right in front of the kitchen window. I am finally beginning to learn their names!
