I’ve admired them at my mother-in-law’s house but I never knew much about these sweet figurines until Sister Martina told me about the story of the brave Franciscan sister and nun who helped so many through her art. I’m not a collector and never felt the impulse of getting one even when I saw them going for very little in garage sales or thrift shops. This one however won my heart as it is white and Christmas related, and I bought it before Christmas at a nice local antique shop. It is the only one I want to own, not being a collector, and it will go with my Christmas things into the box soon. The quality is truly amazing—can’t have a more perfect Christ-Child!
