Ana, I wish I knew you were coming through Michigan! You're not going through Lansing are you?
Oh, Maureen! We are ready to move to Michigan! Never had been there before. As you will see in the blog, we went to Empire, MI-- 300 people, an idyllic beach, and a small new and well-stocked library with wireless network: what else do we need in this life? We met and camped with friends from NY State. After that we visited Frankfort and Elberta, stayed one night in Grand Rapids in a Staybridge Suites where we used the free laundry abundantly, and then next day to Notre Dame. How far were you from us?
Grand Rapids is just about an hour from Lansing. We would've driven to see you. In fact, we were on Lake Odessa a few days ago which is just about 1/2 hour out of G.R. Would love to have you move to Michigan!!!! We may be moving soon -- closer to Detroit . . . ugh.
Ooh... that's too bad. We ended up ordering pizza because we: 1. had nothing clean to wear (camping does that to you...) and 2. were far too sore from all the hiking to go anywhere.
Next year we'll meet--one way or the other. We will need to do the taking-ki(s)-to-Notre-Dame trip again, and/or you will come to the Love2Learn meeting in South Dakota! Alicia is planning on it! :-)
