Freezing corn
Thank you Caitlin K, without whose help it would have taken much longer!
And country neighbor Mary's contraption--very neat!
I love all that corn! How many ears do you think it takes to fill a gallon freezer bag? We only planted about twenty stalks, with just two ears yielding per stalk; just about enough for four dinner's worth for our family. Next year we plan to plant more but how much more? We might go through six to 10 gallon bags frozen in a year so if I could figure out how many ears of corn per bag I'd know how much to plant (approximately). :) It looks like a messy job! Did the knife work better or the fancy gadget?
