Art Project: Saint Paul Mosaics
This was a summer long project! I could not be happier with the final products!
ana these are great!! do tell us what you had them do. I would love to do this project with my kids. By the way, our play this year is Paul:Fearless Lion of God and is a musical, believe it or not! Oct 10,11,12. Come if you can,but at least pray for the them. cyndi ojeda
We traced the picture with pencil and then found magazine photos/colors to match-- I couldn't count all of the hours that went into this project! Water down the glue and use a paintbrush.
I want to know all about doing this! I read the pencil sketch part, then something about the magazines...I'd love to do this project with our VBS kids (we're doing Rome: Paul and the Underground Church). I love the mosaic idea.
Please write me, if it isn't too much trouble - with more details.
Denise, print the pics in black and white to the desired size and have the kids trace it for speed. Cut or rip little "tiles" from magazines of the wanted colors. For glue we used school glue mixed with water (or purchase hodgepodge) on a saucer with a paintbrush. Email for more questions!
Click here to be directed to my other blog, where I am publishing, in order, the Braga Family photo albums made by my mother, Lucia Braga. May she rest in God's eternal and blissful peace.
