We decided for hot showers, hot food, and warm inside air... and with the help of Number One via phone, found a nice hotel suite in town. The view from the pool area made it feel like we were enjoying a winter resort!
Number Five's wonderful school friends came for a swim and to play cards, and the adults visited a bit. It was my friend's Jeanie Conzemius' birthday and the kids, all in choir, sang beautifully!
It may have been a short, mini-vacation, but it took our mind away from the ice and cold!
