Susan and Kirk will be married towards the end of this month, and I am honored and privileged to be the cake-baker. Number Six and I were in the kitchen yesterday afternoon making the first three round pans! Six sticks of butter down, ten to go... I'm using my traditional Brazilian cake recipe. Cakes are in the freezer until the day before the wedding when I will frost them. As I bake the cake I ask God for a happy and long-lasting, fruitful marriage!

Is it similar to the "Continual Feast" birthday cake? I've loved that cookbook for years. Has a great pumpkin pie recipe, too.
