A Musical Sunday in MN

Husband and I took the girls to MN as Number Five invited us to several performances!

We first heard heard at Mass on campus cantoring the Psalm:

It was a beautiful mass filled with students, and gorgeous music:

Then her Cadenza vocal group sang three numbers as part of an afternoon choral concert. I was only able to get one video, of Pie Jesu. Unfortunately we couldn't see Number Five from our seats, she is the second from the right.

We went for pizza with the family of  her roommate Maddie, and laughed a lot. Maddie comes from a large homeschool family and the adults had fun getting acquainted! Her mom is also a leader of a Well-read Mom book club.

We only had time to drop off a bike for her and some other items... and  then on to the main event of the day!

And the final one, an arrangement they worked on themselves of a popular Beatles song. Number Five likes the Mother Mary reference in this song. After her difficult year, and in a the concert hall filled with freinds, it was no surprise that there wasn't a dry eye in the house. She is shining in life, sorrow and all, working hard, with courage and determination. May God reward you, dearest daughter.

Happy and proud family!
