Honoring our fathers

Today it is Father's Day in the United States. These framed photos of our parents are here in our family room and we often look at them. Few things make Husband and I more thankful than the knowledge that we had good fathers: faithful, hard-working, loving. As the secular culture continues taking what it looks like a mad dive in the sense of family life, the fact that we both had fathers becomes more and more meaningful. Fathers who lived their marriage and parental responsibilities so beautifully and are examples for us everyday.

Today we thank both our fathers, for all they did and gave us, and we ask God that the children in this world will be as fortunate as we were.
