Conference in MN

Isabel and I had a wonderful time at the conference! We sold out after lunch and for me it was a whirlwind of lovely shopper asking me to dedicate and sign each copy to their numerous children! Marcie Stockman asked that we record our impromptu conversation as she tied in the story of the book—born at a WRM gathering—to the “Father” theme for the international book club next year. https://youtube.com/shorts/1D4uKahlB2w?si=oPENrH47voNj5PN3

Weekend in Denver!

Train travel went well and we were able to spend time with Claudia and Eliza. I cooked Brazilian food for Rhee to freeze… Including the flan per request and we were also happy to get together with our old friends from Kansas, Dave and Deb.

My talk at the MN conference

One of the last activities in MN was attending and speaking at the MN Catholic Homeschool Conference with Number Five.  First time they hold it since COVID! So many old familiar faces including “Margaret In Minnesota” and Phillip Campbell, Number Six’ favorite online teacher.

We won a prize even! It went so well, I was surprised at the number of attendants—and they kept coming in. It was hot and sunny in the room and many had tears streaming down their faces, including the speaker. I have an audio of the talk, email me if you’d like a copy.

Well-Read Mom Conference in Minnesota

With doctor’s approval I went to MN to speak at the Well-Read Mom conference! A wonderful few days chez Wilsons but needed to cut it short and return home to finish healing. MN snow and cold weren’t good for pneumonia after all.
