Farewell

The last lunch was made by her is her day in the kitchen, and you came with the sweetest tiny note. It was indeed the best lunch we had at the monastery, noodles with cheese and kale and walnuts. She hasn’t lost her touch.

Last days at monastery

I was able to make cinnamon rolls yesterday, the last day, for the sisters to bake in their kitchen! Will wait for the first letter to find out how they turned out.

Number seven’s godfather and family come to visit us at the monastery

It was such a sweet reunion, and their family is absolutely darling. Lily is number one’s goddaughter, and received a doll from him. It was truly a beautiful day.

Monastic days, continued

The sisters surprised number seven with a special treat on her feast day. She was also called to the art studio to see and talk about the sisters artistic work with Stainglass. They’ve been working on windows for the future church.

Also, Sister shared with us some adorable drawings made by the novices.

Our days in monastic rhythm

It’s wonderful to be here with my husband and our youngest daughter, we still have the rhythm of prayer and work, but with their company things are more lively. With the rental car, husband has been going to town to do some work, and the number seven is busy outside helping with the animals most of the day. There is a young man here helping the sisters and we befriended him, he is just a lovely, retreat, companion.

Of course, the highlight of our days is the visits with Sister Maria Perpetua!

The sister sang for us as a gift!

My two youngest daughters, just like old times.

Helping in the garden. This time around I suffered the most with altitude sickness, then in any other time.

She radiates joy!
