Husband’s trip to Israel

Husband returned from a meeting in Israel where he was invited to give a talk. Field trips this time included their amazing greenhouses where pepper growing is so productive they export to the USA, and swimming, or floating, in the Dead Sea—where you need sandals as the bottom is covered in pingpong sized salt crystals.

Sweet reunion

Geoff and Alan were good friends in graduate school. Alan lost his wife Patricia last year, whom we introduced to him. As Husband was in DC for a NASA meeting, the two met a restaurant for a long dinner and conversation. They both loved it!

Grandpa Geoff arrives

After a month's absence, Grandpa Geoff arrived from Central Asia where he lead his research team through field work. He flew to see us in Rochester where he and I loved taking the role of grandparents in earnest, be it at the Airbnb, at church, or just taking Dominic for short walks and an ice-cream treat. He was also able to bring to Baby James a beautiful gift from Aunt Sister Martina OSB, as well as a very large chocolate bar for me.
